Gemini Man and Pisces Woman Compatibility From Linda Goodman’s Love Signs

Gemini Man and Pisces Woman Compatibility

Linda Goodman is renowned best selling astrologer who has written books on Astrology and in depth knowledge of Signs, which has redefined the way of Astrology.

This post is based on Linda Goodman’s Book “A NEW APPROACH TO THE HUMAN HEART LINDA GOODMAN’S LOVE SIGNS” for the Love Compatibility of Gemini Man with  Pisces Woman.

In his absence, things are usually quiet on the island. The
faeries take an hour longer in the morning, the beasts
attend to their young but with the coming of Peter,
who hates lethargy, they are all under way again

To keep a love affair or a marriage serene and untroubled, the typical girl Fish will do almost anything. She’ll accommodate herself, her routine and her habits to the convenience of the Gemini man she loves, even though her feminine-liberation-minded female friends will be scandalized. They’ll pity her openly, but she’ll just smile and ignore them.

She’s not really a masochistic slave to the whims of the Twins. Her sympathetic acquaintances just think she is. They’re not alone. Her Gemini man is under the same impression. And that’s exactly the impression this sweet, accommodating, soft-spoken lady intends to project to him (and to all her inquisitive friends, neighbors and relatives). She knows what she’s doing. She’s making life easier for herself. Once she’s fallen in love with a Gemini the Neptune woman has enough common sense to comprehend that she has only two practical choices in this challenging 4-10 Sun Sign Pattern relationship. She can decide love isn’t worth the demands a Gemini man makes upon her delicate psyche – and leave him. Just slip away some morning when he’s not around. Or she can decide that the pleasure and happiness, the contentment and peace of loving him – and receiving the love and devotion of at least one of his Twin selves in return – are worth a few adjustments here and there in the relationship. If the latter is her choice, she’ll simply make it work. It may take some intricate planning, but she’ll manage.

Passive resistance is her Neptune secret. She was born with an awesome talent for it, as some people are born with an ear for music or perfect pitch. She knows just when to back off, how far to retreat – precisely when it’s a propitious time to advance and how far she can go with him. Actually, she doesn’t really know. She senses it. It’s as though she was equipped at birth with some sort of invisible but sensitive antenna that flashes both precognitive and perceptive signals to her regarding human behavior patterns.

All Geminis are undeniably as mentally quick as can be, always alert and on guard, nearly impossible to deceive. But as clever as the Gemini man indisputably is, he can be blind to the Neptunian strategies of a Pisces girl. If she has things she wants to do, things of which he might disapprove, she won’t waste her energies rocking their relationship with insistent demands or tearful pleas. She’ll simply do as he wishes when he’s there – and as she wishes when he’s not there. What she wants to do that doesn’t receive his blessing needn’t be anything sinister or sly. It needn’t be planning to rob a bank or being unfaithful.

It could be something as innocent and ordinary as sleeping an extra hour. Like all Birds, the typical Gemini is nearly always up and alert quite early, either whistling merrily or complaining crankily (depending on which Gemini Twin arose first), and he can become quite critical of those who lie abed later than Gemini believes they should when there are things to be done. It could be something she wants to read – which isn’t necessarily the reading matter he would recommend to her. Perhaps visiting friends when he feels she should be spending her time in a more profitable way. Maybe keeping an appointment with the beauty parlor. Why would he frown on that? Because he thinks she’s beautiful just the way she is – and besides, the money she spends on personal beautification could be better spent by the two of them traveling somewhere together. To Gemini, the absolute ultimate of ecstasies is a change of scene – going somewhere. – anywhere at all that’s different and away from daily routine.

Gemini’s cleverness includes an unerring instinct for the expedient. Like, if she made her beauty parlor appointment when he was present, he’d try to talk her out of it, either with his considerable powers of persuasion and charm – or through cranky criticism. But once she’s gone and he sees the finished product, he seldom argues the point. First of all, she looks lovely, and he can’t find it in his heart to quarrel with her when she’s so appealing. Secondly, he knows it’s a waste of time to try to stop something after the fact. This man seldom wastes time. He believes time was made to be filled by doing something – every second of it somehow utilized (except for sleeping, a luxury the average Mercury birds indulge in for only very brief periods). Time is the stuff of which Life – and dreams – are made. To squander it by doing simply nothing is, to him, a sinful thing.

The Pisces woman has a completely different view of time. She feels that it’s inexhaustible – there’s always more of it tomorrow if any of it slips away from her today. And she believes one of the nicest ways to spend it is doing nothing. Especially after she’s depleted her energies with a thousand and one duties of service to others, and her normally cheerful spirit is sagging at the seams. Time is best spent when possible, she feels, in just being herself, simply existing in the cool, green Pisces waters of calm contemplation. It refreshes her soul.

Living under the always somewhat tense 4-10 vibration with a Gemini man, her soul needs a lot of refreshing. The very qualities that drew her close to him in the beginning may later grow to be extremely wearing and wearying to her more placid nature. His mind is full of little surprises, and this delights her. He’s quick, mentally agile, with an instant grasp of everything he sees, hears or reads. His ideas pop out when least expected, and they’re nearly always original and fascinating. He seems to be forever busy dreaming, thinking, planning or doing – while she is busy just being. He can change occupations or careers at the wink of one of his twinkling eyes, and she never knows what to expect around the next corner. It’s exciting. It’s intriguing and compelling. He’s like a mystery she can’t completely fathom, and she adores mysteries. But these same traits of her Mercury-urged man, after a while, may leave her longing for solitude and quiet for the security of sameness a retreat into the soothing stillness of her own slower and softer dreams and goals.

ADVERTISE

For a time, his wonderful wit, his heart-tugging, little-boy, three-cornered grin, the star-shine in his expressive eyes, his sheer intelligence and his multiple talents will keep the girl Fish mesmerized by his Mercurial spell. It’s like watching a living kaleidoscope to see the changes in his moods from affectionate, merry, warmly tender and generous – to irritable, sarcastic, sullen and stingy – and back again (to the dominance of the “good Twin”). When she watches his mental acrobatics from a distance, they’re interesting, even electrifying, and certainly stimulating. It’s only when she gradually allows herself to become an integral and inseparable part of the many-faceted ups and downs of his unpredictable mental, physical and emotional activity that the wear and tear on her tranquility begins to show.

However much she may try to resist, the Neptune woman can’t help being eventually drawn into the nearest vortex of human experience. She absorbs the feelings and emotions around her like a psychic sponge or a sensitive photographic plate (much in the same way that Cancerians and Scorpios do). And because her own aura is keyed to a gentler chord, the percussion of Gemini cymbals and the high notes of the flutes can sometimes jangle her nerves and disturb her poise, leaving her vaguely depressed. Her solution is to swim quietly away from the floods of feeling around her which threaten to drown her ….enter the still world of her inner serenity .. . whatever the cost and return, her strength renewed. During these necessary periods of retreat, the Gemini man who loves her will be puzzled and hurt, sometimes angry.

It never occurs to him that he’s adept in the self-defensive tactic of mental retreat himself, an expert at disappearing into aloof detachment when she most needs him to be attentive and concerned. Remember that Pisces is a very old soul, born wise – and Gemini is the symbolic Toddler Child (see “The Twelve Mysteries of Love” in the front of this book). He can’t help being a trifle selfcentered. Yet, often his insight is surprising, despite the symbolic “Child” charisma. There will be times when he’ll display an amazing comprehension of what she’s going through, then show her he understands with his Gemini light touch of compassion .. exquisitely tender. Or he senses when the right thing to do is to make her laugh, suggest a trip .. or just a drive or walk together. These are the rare and singing moments of their love.

Frequently, the sexual chemistry between this man and woman is the silent alchemy that brings them closer together in every way – not just physically. Somehow, through the blending of their Air and Water Elements during the intimacies of their sexual union, he becomes more like her – and she becomes more like him. So that, strangely, after their lovemaking, she’s more alive, vibrant and aware .. he’s more subdued and gentle, less restless and seeking.

When Water joins with Air in sexual Oneness (see “The Blending of the Elements” section in the back of the book) Water magically transforms Air into its own element, in the form of life-giving, cooling rain, after which all of Nature is fresh again, drenched with promise and scented with new hope. Enclosed within the circle of each other’s arms, the Fish and the Twins often find the elusive harmony they reach for together at other times, and never quite seem to capture. The sexual mystery between them can be a powerful regenerative experience for both, the secret and strong foundation for their continued desire to try to understand one another’s vastly different personalities.

Her procrastination, her tendency toward evading issues annoys and frustrates him. But she’s an enormously facile subject changer. It’s all he can do to keep up with her, swift as he is. His periodic criticism and scattered interests trouble and upset her. Yet she nearly always finds a way to avoid unpleasantness. He’d rather she didn’t, because he needs the occasional mental stimulation of debate and discussion to keep his Mercury wits sharpened. She’d rather he relaxed more and worried less. He’d prefer her to relax less and worry more. Well, perhaps not worry – but at least see things as they are, instead of the way she’d like them to be (even though he often succumbs to daydreaming himself). A Gemini man is designed in a mosaic pattern of sudden twists and turns. Just when you think he’s critical of metaphysical matters, he’ll buy a book about the Great Pyramid. I knew one Mercury Bird who claimed contempt for the occult, then mentioned he’d like a crystal ball for Christmas. He wanted to experiment. Experimentation is the adrenalin Gemini needs to keep going. If something manages to catch his interest, he’ll never rest until he’s figured out the concept and improved upon it.

The complexities of this man’s mind and attitudes will forever both magnetize and elude the Pisces woman. Sometimes his contradictions will increase her admiration of him, moving her to even try to imitate his analytical and intellectual yet occasionally imaginative approach. At other times, she’ll despair of ever truly knowing him. For different reasons, he’ll also wonder if he’ll ever really know her. Because there are two of him and two of her, the game never ends. Gemini and Pisces are both signs of duality. Now and then, when she’s mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted, she’ll turn icy cold and refuse to communicate, which distresses him more than he ever allows her to realize. But most of the time she avoids a scene by ignoring her own hurt feelings. When ugliness, confusion or confrontation appears on the horizon, the dreamy girl Fish just pretends it isn’t there, and for her, then, it disappears. She’s learned that if you await patiently, most things resolve themselves. But it’s impossible for him to face a problem by make-believing it doesn’t exist. He’s compelled to analyze and solve it immediately. He can no more resist this urge than he can resist working a crossword puzzle or answering the questions aloud when he watches a quiz show on television (which he always guesses before the person who’s being asked). Every Gemini man is an instructor at heart, driven to purify muddy waters with the clearness of reason and logic. Then, too, there’s the puzzling contradiction of his daydreaming.

Because Gemini and Pisces are of the Water and Air Elements, they’ll never be as demonstrative, warm and affectionate outwardly as people born under the Fire Element. Yet, because of their combined water and air essence, they offer each other a great gift – freedom. She’ll seldom question his impulses or his whereabouts, for she is not the possessive type. He’ll grant her, likewise, the same freedom of movement. He won’t mind where she floats around when he isn’t there – but when he is, he’ll expect her to be near, for Gemini requires an audience. She’s a beautiful listener, and to him, this is her most endearing quality. Privately, he knows this soft-spoken lady of quiet secrets and subtleties is genuinely interested in everything he has to say – and above all, this is his deepest need.

ADVERTISE

She knows this changeable man of many moods will always need her – and this, above all, is her deepest need: to be needed. When he’s sarcastic, as Gemini can sometimes be, he breaks her heart. But when his charm returns, his eyes twinkle with surprises again, when he projects his wistful three-cornered grin and his Peter Pan yearnings, she knows she’s made the right choice to compromise her preferred life style to his. By doing so, she hasn’t lost anything really, and she’s gained her very own human kaleidoscope, that changes colors, shapes and designs at the slightest touch.

Repeatedly, he’ll scold her for being so generous and extravagant. Then one day, without warning, he’ll fly all over town, as though Mercury’s silver wings were truly fastened on his heels, borrowing money he doesn’t have, from two or three banks, to lend to a friend in trouble. For months, he’ll make serious plans to enroll in night school to get his engineering degree, then he’ll suddenly buy a typewriter and announce he’s going to be a writer. He’ll come home, tired from doing mental push-ups all day, refuse dinner, inform her he’s going to bed, and grumpily head for the bedroom. Less than five minutes later, he’ll reappear, wink at her with the old magic, and ask her if she wants to go for a ride to watch the sunset, then have dinner in town and see a play.

While she’s changing, he’ll nag her to hurry, and irritably complain that it takes her forever to get ready to go anywhere. But when she’s sitting in the car beside him, he unexpectedly tells her she’s never looked more beautiful. “Do you know I wouldn’t know what to do without you?” he asks her. She doesn’t reply, she just smiles. She’s known that all along. That’s why she’s still there.
